About ReasonPost

Independent. Reader-supported. Slow on purpose.

ReasonPost is a one-person journal on AI tools, automation, and the tooling layer that quietly runs under modern indie work. Every post is written by a human, with AI as a research assistant — never as the publisher.

About the author — Jay Ahn

Jay Ahn is an independent builder based in Vancouver, Canada. After a few years in industrial engineering, he taught himself full-stack development and pivoted to building automation tools for solo operators and small teams in 2022. ReasonPost is where he writes about what he actually builds — and what he breaks along the way.

He works with Next.js, Postgres, n8n, Cloudflare, and a small graveyard of half-finished side projects. He writes here roughly once a week. Find him on X as @jayahnbuilds.

How this site is written

Every published article on ReasonPost goes through a draft-then-edit process. AI tools help with research, outline, and first-pass drafts. Jay reviews, edits, fact-checks, adds his own screenshots and measurements, and is responsible for what gets published. See our full Editorial Policy and AI Disclosure.
