Editorial Policy

ReasonPost is an independent publication written and edited by Jay Ahn. This page describes how articles are produced, what role AI plays in the process, and how we handle corrections, conflicts of interest, and sponsorships.

The writing process

Every article goes through four stages before publication:

1. Research and outline. Topic selection is driven by what Jay is actively building or evaluating, plus reader questions and search demand. AI is used to gather and summarize sources.
2. Draft. A first-pass draft is generated with AI assistance using Jay's outline, notes, and earlier writing as context.
3. Human edit and original input. Jay rewrites the draft, adds his own screenshots, measurements, code snippets, and first-person observations from actually using the tools or building the systems being discussed. Anything he can't verify gets removed or hedged.
4. Publish and date. Articles carry a published date. If they're materially updated later, a "last updated" line is added.

How AI is used

We use large language models (currently Anthropic Claude) as research assistants and draft generators — never as the final author. AI does not publish on this site without human review. For the full operating disclosure, see our AI Disclosure.

Corrections

Mistakes happen. If something is wrong, please email editor@reasonpost.comwith a link to the article and the specific issue. We fix factual errors within 48 hours of confirmation and note the change at the bottom of the article when the correction is non-trivial.

Sponsorships and affiliate links

ReasonPost may participate in affiliate programs and accept sponsorships in the future. When it does:

• Affiliate links are disclosed at the top of any article that contains them.
• Sponsored content is clearly labelled as "Sponsored" and reviewed under the same editorial bar as regular articles.
• No vendor, sponsor, or affiliate has editorial control over what we publish or how we rate them.

Independence

ReasonPost has no investors, no advertisers with editorial input, and no corporate parent. Decisions about what to cover are made by Jay alone, based on what is genuinely useful to indie builders and operators.
